Students and their families joined us at Studley on Thursday 7th November to research their family history. As part of our Remembrance events, the History team arranged access to birth records, marriage certificates, war records and census data to help students explore the generations above them.

Mrs Smith led a workshop to show what records are available and the information found within them, and families then began to build their trees. Information quickly built up, with stories of migration, war service and medals and even some links to royalty! Most families spent time exploring the 19th Century, but one student got as far back as 1608. We hope that our families continue to explore their own personal histories.

The workshop will run again in the spring term for those who were not able to attend this date.
