Every day is an Open Day

There is an incorrect version of the Studley High School Admissions policy displayed on the Warwickshire admissions website. We have asked for this to be removed a number of times. The correct version can be found below.

We have a Pupil Admission Number of 150.
We have received an unprecedented number of applications for year 7 in Sept 2020. The first round of offers were made to families on March 2nd.

Warwickshire admissions will be collating any further amendments and late applications until mid March.

Further offers will then be made from March 16th as places are declined or accepted. This normally results in a significant number of further offers being made.

All queries should go to Warwickshire admissions as they manage the whole process independently from the school to ensure the offers are fair and compliant.

Call and arrange to visit the school at any time, on any day that we are open.

The date for the return of application forms to the Admissions Service is 31st October 2019.

Offers of places in the secondary transfer group (for entry in September 2020) will be posted to the child’s home address on 1st March 2020.

If the school is full in the year group another place can be offered provided that:

  • no other applicants have been refused places in the same year group – wherever they live
  •  the child is living or moving into the school’s priority area
  • the school is willing.

Please note: If you live outside of Warwickshire, you can still apply for a place at Studley High – see below for information!

Feedback from parents:

My son has been feeling quite nostalgic about leaving school this year…the staff who have been pivotal in making his life happier. He felt quite strongly about the need for you to know how wonderful you all are.

Mrs I

The atmosphere in school is overwhelmingly positive. Your pupils clearly love their school and the members of staff I met, were obviously passionate about not only their subject, but about teaching in general.

Miss J

We recently attended your Open Evening for prospective new pupils. My husband, myself and our daughter found the event very well presented and we had the pleasure of having a tour of your school by a lovely young lady called Sophie from Year 11. I  would like to relay to yourselves what a fantastic ambassador she was for your school, so well mannered and knowledgeable. She was able to answer any questions openly and honestly and has definitely confirmed our wishes for our daughter to attend Studley High School in September. Please can you pass on our appreciation to both Sophie and Mr Gray.

Nick & Tracey A

What an incredible place. It’s clear that the staff here are completely committed to providing an excellent education and experience for the pupils.

Mr & Mrs J

We were particularly impressed with the size of the school and the calm atmosphere around the school, we felt that this would be a major advantage in managing the transition from primary school to secondary school for Ava.

This visit has only strengthened our determination to continue our attempts to secure a place for Ava at such an outstanding school.

Once again, thank you for arranging this visit…..and all of you fantastic staff and students for welcoming us to your school.

Studley High School has capacity to take 150 pupils into each year group. Parents interested in enrolling their children here are encouraged to visit the school or attend the Open Event (normally in September).

We attract pupils from Warwickshire and Worcestershire. Approximately 45% of our pupils come from Warwickshire (predominantly Studley and the surrounding villages).  Approximately 55% of our intake is from Worcestershire, travelling from Redditch and Astwood Bank.

You can find a comprehensive list of all routes of transport into school, on our Transport page
