Over four weeks ago, we proudly launched our KS3 Photography Workshop – an exciting new opportunity for Year 7 and Year 8 students to explore the world of photography through hands-on challenges and creative thinking.
Today marked a special milestone for the club: not only did the students continue developing their photographic skills, but the workshop leader also finally had a chance to get behind the lens! “Ironically, for a photography club, this was the first session I actually managed to take some photos myself!” said Mr Doyle.
This week’s task sparked imagination and sharpened observation skills. Students were challenged to find and photograph shapes in their surroundings that resembled letters of the alphabet. From twisted branches forming a perfect ‘S’ to architectural lines mimicking an ‘L’, the young photographers proved that inspiration can be found everywhere.
The KS3 Photography Workshop continues to encourage students to see the world through a more creative lens – quite literally. We can’t wait to see what they capture next!
