On Wednesday 2nd February we held a PD Day at school. Across the day there were a wide range of topics being covered by each year group.
Year 7 and Year 10 spent time thinking about their futures and career plans. They were also lucky enough to meet lots of local employers and colleges in a careers fayre held in the gym, which was organised by our Careers Advisor Mrs Dixon.
Year 8 had sessions on how their bodies are changing and what support is available if they are struggling with any aspects of puberty. A service ran by our school nurse came in to hold a session, and they were incredibly impressed with the maturity of our pupils.
Year 9 spent the day looking at online responsibilities, and Year 11 looking at the harm that drugs can have on the body and mind.
All pupils displayed excellent maturity, taking in their stride a change of their timetable for the day.
