Sparx Homework App: Transforming Learning at Studley High School
At Studley High School, we are always striving to enhance our students’ learning experience and provide them with innovative tools to excel academically. In the academic year 2022-2023, we introduced the Sparx Homework app as part of a pilot program, and today we are thrilled to share the remarkable results achieved by our students.
Throughout the year, a total of 855 students participated in the Sparx Homework app, collectively answering an astonishing 1,043,448 questions correctly. This demonstrates an incredible level of commitment and dedication from our students, as they embraced this digital platform as a means to reinforce their understanding of Maths.
One of the most remarkable outcomes of implementing the Sparx Homework app is the significant improvement in student engagement. We witnessed a remarkable 3.5-fold increase in student engagement, as they actively participated in completing assignments, quizzes, and practice sessions.
The Sparx Homework app provides personalized practice opportunities to students, tailoring the content to their individual learning needs. Over the course of the year, our students dedicated a total of 13,548 hours to personalized practice on the app. This individualized approach has proven to be highly effective in helping students reinforce their understanding of key concepts, ultimately boosting their confidence and academic performance.
One particular area where we have seen tremendous progress is in students’ mastery of times tables. Among the students who utilized the Sparx Tables feature, an impressive 62% have either improved their skills or are now considered confident in their times tables.
As a reward for their outstanding efforts and dedication, we would like to recognize the top achievers in earning XP points in Sparx Maths throughout the year.
