Please note: the temperature is predicted to drop below 0°C – many rough sleepers in the area will be stuggling with the cold. The Food Department, pupils and teachers at Studley High have made use of some donated ingredients and practised their knife skills to make some homemade soup and donated bread rolls for anyone staying at the Redditch Salvation Army on Ipsley Street tonight.
The Severe Weather Emergency Provision (SWEP), operated by CCP on behalf of Redditch Borough Council, provides emergency shelter for rough sleepers on any night that the weather turned freezing from now until the end of March.
The SWEP is being held at the Salvation Army building on Ipsley Street, Redditch. Please point rough sleepers in that direction. If you wish to alert CCP, who operate the SWEP, to the existence and location of a rough sleeper you can do so by contacting Jayne on 07715 632088. Jayne and a colleague are regularly in touch with any rough sleepers they find or of whom they are aware.
