Every Tuesday, a group of our enthusiastic Year 7 scientists come together to explore the wonders of science through fun and engaging experiments. Guided by Mrs. Harris and Miss Dimmock, these young investigators use their skills and teamwork to delve into various scientific challenges.
**Week One** kicked off with a bang as students designed and tested catapults. The competition was fierce, with each team modifying and adapting their designs to see who could launch their projectile the furthest and highest.
**Week Two** the budding scientists created and tested Cartesian divers. The experiment was a splash, quite literally, as students gained a hands-on understanding of water and air pressure.
**Week Three** saw the creation and racing of mini balloon-powered hovercrafts. The excitement was palpable as students raced their innovative designs.
**Week Four**we made our own Lava Lamps from coloured water, cooking oil and denture cleaning tables. It was fascinating seeing the effects as the gas bubbles generated rise and fall gently through the oil.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates from our Year 7 scientists!
