We’re excited to announce the launch of the KS3 Hiking Club at Studley High School! Yesterday marked our very first outing, and it was a fantastic success. Mr Doyle and I had the pleasure of leading a group of enthusiastic students on a scenic walk around Studley.

During the hike, students were introduced to the fundamentals of map reading and compass use—essential skills for any budding adventurer. It was brilliant to see how quickly they picked things up, with many eager to take the lead in navigating our route.

We were also joined by some helpful Year 10 students, who supported the younger pupils and shared their own experiences. Their involvement added a great sense of teamwork and mentorship to the day.

The atmosphere throughout was upbeat and energetic, and it’s clear we’ve sparked a real interest in outdoor exploration. We’re already looking forward to our next adventure!
