Hiking Club Takes Its First Steps Outdoors
Our new Hiking Club set off on its very first session, enjoying a scenic walk through the rural surroundings of Studley. The route offered plenty to explore, with students encountering sheep, ducks, flowing rivers, and several local churches along the way, making for a memorable introduction to outdoor adventure.
During the walk, students were introduced to key map symbols and learned how to use a compass to navigate their route. They showed great enthusiasm and made excellent progress in developing their navigation skills. Over the coming weeks, the group will continue to build confidence and experience, with the ultimate goal of leading a walking route independently.
