Year 9 Students Step Back in Time with Virtual Reality History Experience
Recently, our Year 9 students took part in an immersive Virtual Reality History experience, delivered by Time Travel Education, bringing an important period of history vividly to life.
Using VR technology, students were able to experience first-hand what conditions were like for soldiers living in the trenches during the First World War. The powerful and engaging session enabled students to gain a deeper understanding of daily life on the front line, from the cramped conditions to the constant challenges faced by those who served.
This unique experience supported and enriched learning within the Year 9 history curriculum, helping students to connect classroom knowledge with a more realistic and emotional perspective. It was a fantastic opportunity to enhance understanding through immersive, first-hand learning, and students approached the session with curiosity and enthusiasm.
We are delighted to provide experiences such as this that inspire engagement and deepen historical understanding beyond the textbook.
