Last week, our GCSE Astronomy Club went to Millenium Green in Inkberrow to study the sky at night in as dark a place as possible to avoid light pollution. It was very cold from 8pm to midnight but we saw shooting stars, constellations and the phase of the moon, we specifically observed the Pleiades and Orion’s Belt Star Constellations with the school telescope. Some of us managed to catch some meteors (shooting stars!) from the quadrantid meteor shower. James B made some excellent observations through his own telescope.
