Cadbury World, Bournville, hosted a group of our year 8 students for a Technology trip this week, where they participated in a workshop focused on the design of popular Cadbury chocolate bars. During the workshop, students learned about the connection between the bar’s design and its wrapper, as well as how Cadbury creates products for specific demographics and target groups.
In addition, the students had the opportunity to visit the factory and witness the chocolate-making process firsthand. They also had the chance to practice tempering and decorating chocolate themselves.
The highlight of the workshop was when the Cadbury Education team presented the students with a design brief, challenging them to create a new product. The students worked hard and developed their own unique product ideas, which they presented to their peers.
Overall, the Technology trip to Cadbury World was an engaging and informative experience for the students, allowing them to learn about the chocolate-making process and the importance of design in product development.
