Year 11 student Harry K has always had a passion for planes and a dream of becoming a pilot since a very young age. His unwavering dedication to this goal has been evident throughout his life.
To achieve his first solo flight, Harry had to complete a significant number of flying hours with an instructor, finish various training modules, pass his air law exam, and obtain a class 2 medical certificate. This rigorous preparation paid off when he successfully completed his solo flight during the Easter holidays, earning an award for this impressive achievement.
Now, Harry is focused on completing an additional 10 hours of solo flying, planning and executing a cross-country flight, and studying for further exams. Once he passes his skills assessment, he will become a qualified private pilot. Harry aims to achieve this milestone before his 17th birthday.
Looking ahead, Harry aspires to become a commercial pilot. Since he cannot begin his commercial training until he turns 18, he plans to attend college to study physics, engineering, and photography after finishing school. His goal is to join a cadet program with a major airline and turn his lifelong dream into reality.
We are incredibly proud of Harry’s dedication and ambition, and we look forward to supporting him on his journey to the skies.
