Studley in Business Meeting Showcases Student Talent
The recent Studley in Business meeting held at our school was a resounding success, bringing together local business members and showcasing the incredible talents of our students. This event provided a unique platform for pupils to engage with the business community, gaining valuable insights and experiences.
The meeting featured a variety of contributions from our students. Year 10 catering pupils impressed the guests with a delightful array of sweet and savoury treats. The students not only prepared the food but also engaged in conversations with the business attendees, discussing their culinary creations and receiving positive feedback.
Year 10 photography students were on hand to capture the morning’s events. They had the opportunity to work alongside a professional photographer who is a member of the business group, receiving expert advice and honing their skills in real-time.
Adding a touch of culture to the event, Year 9 and 10 Drama students performed an extract from “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” This preview was a teaser for their upcoming full production in May, and it was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Design Technology students also contributed to the event by creating beautiful coasters and embroidery pieces for the guests to take home. These handmade items were a hit, showcasing the creativity and craftsmanship of our pupils.
Overall, the Studley in Business meeting was a fantastic opportunity for our students to display their talents and network with local business professionals. It was heartening to see the community come together to support and inspire the next generation. The event not only highlighted the skills of our students but also strengthened the bond between our school and the local business community.
