Y11 Sports Studies Students Take on Outdoor Adventure Challenge
Year 11 Cambridge Nationals Sports Studies students took part in an Outdoor Adventurous Activity at Ackers Adventure in Birmingham. They tried rock climbing and kayaking, developing skills like teamwork, communication, resilience, and problem-solving.
During the day, students developed important practical skills, including teamwork, communication, resilience and problem-solving, while stepping outside their comfort zones in a safe and supportive environment. As part of their assessment, each student was formally assessed in one of the activities, helping them to demonstrate their ability to perform in an outdoor adventurous setting.
This experience not only supported their coursework but also provided a valuable opportunity for students to build confidence and enjoy learning beyond the classroom.
