Year 10 Students Shine on Duke of Edinburgh Practice Expedition

Over the weekend, our Year 10 Silver Duke of Edinburgh students successfully completed their practice expedition in rural Gloucestershire, demonstrating resilience, teamwork and excellent navigation skills. Walking for two days in bright sunshine, the groups confidently found their way through the countryside and maintained a strong pace throughout the expedition.

The students camped independently for two very cold nights, even waking up to frost on the ground. Despite the chilly conditions, spirits remained high. Each group took responsibility for cooking their own meals, managing their campsite, and supporting one another, while enjoying wellearned time together in the evenings.

A huge well done to all students involved for their determination and positive attitude, and thank you to the staff who supported the expedition. We are incredibly proud of their efforts and look forward to the qualifying expedition in July.
